Pagong Kyoto Screen Printing Workshop (2019)

During this workshop I took a tour of their facilities and learned about the history, culture, process, dyes, and techniques used for kimono silk screening. After the tour, I had a chance to apply my knowledge by silk screening a traditional Japanese Kimono print onto fabric using their high quality techniques and materials! I made some friends and went home with a unique fabric piece that holds a special memory of Kyoto. I even picked up some natural dyes to use in my own art work.
